Economic Development

Locating your business in our historic, vibrant city offers unparalleled charm, a rich cultural heritage, and a thriving community atmosphere that attracts not only local visitors but interstate and international tourists as well.
We also offer modern, fully improved building sites and building spaces in our state-of-the-art business parks.
Our city emphasizes and takes great pride in supporting the needs of our retail, commercial and industrial enterprises, making Cedarburg an ideal place to locate a business.
The Cedarburg Economic Development Office plays an active role in helping business owners find the ideal building space and/or developable site and provides assistance with the regulatory process of owning, establishing, and operating a business in our community. Additional resources, such as the Cedarburg Chamber of Commerce and Ozaukee County Economic Development are also available to reach out and assist businesses.
Each year more than 175,000 visitors attend our four annual festivals – Strawberry Festival, Wine & Harvest Festival, Oktoberfest and Winter Festival, which are managed and organized by the very active and vibrant Festivals of Cedarburg, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Local business owners garner tremendous benefits from these festivals, which not only bring in large numbers of people throughout the seasons, but creates exposure and attention that lasts all year. Along with the Festivals, our Chamber of Commerce and various non-profit entities offer a variety of events that bring visitors to our charming community from various parts of the country, and even internationally, throughout the year.
Whether you are looking to find leasable space or developable land, explore loan options, learn about public financing assistance or help to navigate the regulatory process, the Economic Development Office can help. Our goal is to spread the news about Cedarburg as a place to not only live, but to work, establish your business, and become part of the fabric of an amazing community.
The mission of Cedarburg's Economic Development Office is to enroll new businesses, as well as retain and expand the existing businesses in Cedarburg. Further, our goal is to strengthen and enhance awareness of Cedarburg as a charming, accessible, historic city that offers great shopping, dining, and unique venues to enjoy the arts.
