Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan
Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan Update, 2024 - 2025
Project Background
Adopted on August 14, 2017, the Park and Open Space Plan helps to guide the development of parks and recreational amenities within the City. Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plans, or CORPs, are typically updated every five years so they remain relevant and eligible for state and federal recreational grant opportunities. The current plan is in need of an update and revision but is still relevant since not much has changed when it was adopted in 2017. The Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Staff along with the PRF Board worked on updating the plan in 2024 to early 2025. The plan was finaliazed and adopted in April 2025.
